Summer is slowly coming to and end and I’m sure most of us (myself excluded) want it to last just a little longer. Thankfully, we still have one more long weekend before it is time to get back into those same old routines. Best celebrate, right? I recommend celebrating with this bright fruity summer salsa! It will be a great addition to whatever summer festivities you have planned for the weekend. It is so fresh; if summer had a flavor this would be it!
What is in this Bright Fruity Summer Salsa?
This summer salsa has:
- Strawberries
- Mango
- Avocado
- Cilantro
- Red Onion
It’s then finished with some lime juice, salt, and pepper.
I’ve been making this salsa for a while now. You can serve it as an appetizer before a barbecue and as a snack for game night. The salsa can also be used in dishes as a substitute for tomato-based salsas (tacos, anyone?). Sometimes I just eat it right off the spoon!
How to Prepare this Bright Fruity Summer Salsa?
This salsa is so easy to put together yet it looks and tastes like a lot of work went into making it. There is a lot of chopping, but it’s a great time to practice your knife skills!
Try to chop up all the fruit evenly. They don’t need to be diced super small, but you don’t want large chunks either.
Feel free to prep this salsa in advance, but I suggest you wait to chop up the avocados until right before you serve it to ensure that they keep their beautiful colour. Serve with tortilla chips, a glass of sangria, and good company.

Can’t wait to make this. I notice the picture has red onion, but the recipe does not?

Thank you for catching that! I recently updated the post and missed the red onion when I was converting it into the recipe card. Sorry! It should be good now 🙂
